SERVICES / MONTHLY BOOKKEEPING
Monthly bookkeepingBooks closed by the 15th,
every single month
Not "early next month." Not "when we get to it." A fixed date, every month, with reconciled accounts, correct categorisation and a short note telling you what actually changed.
Late books are
useless books
Financial information has a shelf life. A profit and loss statement for January that arrives in April tells you about a decision window that closed months ago. By the time you see the problem, you have made twelve weeks of decisions without it.
This is the most common failure in small business bookkeeping, and it is rarely about competence. It happens because monthly close has no deadline attached, so it slides behind whatever is more urgent. One month becomes two, two becomes a quarter, and by the time anyone catches up the numbers are historical curiosities.
The second failure is categorisation. Books can be technically complete and still meaningless if half the transactions sit in a general expenses bucket. You cannot manage what you cannot see, and a P&L with one enormous "other" line is not visibility.
And then reconciliation, which is the control that proves the rest is real. If the bank balance in your accounting software does not match the bank, something is wrong somewhere, and everything built on those numbers inherits the error.
What late books cost you
- Decisions made on stale or missing information
- Tax bills that arrive as a surprise every year
- Cash flow problems spotted after they bite
- No idea which parts of the business make money
- Scrambling every January to assemble a year
- Lenders and buyers who cannot get what they ask for
From $299/month · Cleanup from $200 per month behind
What monthly
bookkeeping covers
The full monthly cycle, on a fixed schedule, with someone actually reviewing the output.
Bank & card reconciliation
Every account reconciled monthly so your books match reality rather than approximating it.
Transaction categorisation
Coded properly against a chart of accounts built for your business, not a generic template.
Monthly financial statements
Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, produced on schedule and formatted to be readable.
Review and corrections
A human checks the output before it reaches you. Anomalies get investigated, not filed.
Plain-English summary
A short note each month explaining what changed, what it means, and anything worth watching.
Fixed close date
Books closed by the 15th of the following month. If we miss it, that month is on us.
Getting started
takes about a week
Free review
Thirty minutes looking at your current books. We tell you honestly what state they are in and what it would take to fix.
Catch up if needed
If you are behind, we bring you current first as a one-time project, priced before we start.
Take over monthly
Access set up, chart of accounts reviewed, and the monthly cycle begins on an agreed date.
Reports every month
Closed by the 15th, reports in your inbox, and a summary you can read in two minutes.
What current books
let you do
You stop guessing. Knowing your actual margin, your actual cash position and your actual cost base changes how confidently you make decisions about hiring, pricing and spending.
Tax stops being an annual shock. When books are current, tax planning can happen in September rather than April, and the options that only exist during the year are still open.
You can answer a lender in a day rather than a fortnight. That difference has real consequences when a loan, a lease or a deal is on a timeline.
And the year-end scramble disappears. Twelve months of clean, closed books means tax preparation is a handover rather than a reconstruction project.

Monthly bookkeeping questions
QuickBooks Online as standard, and we handle setup or migration if you are coming from somewhere else. If you are committed to another platform, tell us on the call and we will be honest about whether it works for us.
Usually nothing, once bank feeds are connected. We may ask about specific transactions we cannot identify, and receipts for anything unusual. The aim is a few minutes of your time per month, not a few hours.
That is a separate cleanup project at $200 per month behind, quoted before any work begins. Most catch-up work takes two to four weeks, then monthly bookkeeping starts from a clean base.
No, tax returns are priced separately from $450. We keep them separate so you are not paying for filing in the months when nothing is filed. Tax planning is included in the Growth and Scale plans.
By monthly transaction volume rather than hours. $299 up to 100 transactions, $499 up to 300, $799 up to 700. Send us a bank statement and we will count them for you before quoting.
Any time, with no penalty. Your books and files are yours and we hand everything over properly organised. We would rather keep clients by being worth keeping.
